Day 1: Overnight Flight
Discover another side of the Emerald Isle. Visit Dublin, Kinsale and Galway and experience Ireland's natural beauty, rich history and hospitable culture. You are in for some rollicking fun.

Day 2: Dublin, Ireland - Tour Begins
Arrive in Dublin, Ireland’s dynamic capital city. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Dublin
Today, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin, the “Fair City.” See St. Patrick’s Cathedral, O’Connell Street, Grafton Street, Phoenix Park and the city's magnificent rows of stately Georgian town homes. Afterwards, step aboard the “Jeanie Johnston,” a skillful recreation of one of Ireland’s famous “famine ships,” and learn about the experience of millions of Irish seeking a better life in the New World. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing or exploring the cultural offerings of delightful Dublin on your own.

Day 4: Dublin - Irish National Stud - Cork - Kinsale
This morning, drive into Ireland’s beautiful Curragh region, a place well-known for Irish horse breeding and training. Visit the Irish National Stud and learn about the “Sport of Kings” and its long connection with this land. Stroll through their extensive Japanese Gardens, the finest in Europe. Next, pause in the center of the country for views of the historic Rock of Cashel before continuing to Cork, the second city of Ireland. Later, arrive in the charming fishing town of Kinsale, known for its spectacular restaurants and art galleries. Settle into your waterfront hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 5: Kinsale - Cobh - Midleton - Kinsale
Begin your day with a trip to the port of Cobh and the Cobh Heritage Centre. Come to know the personal stories behind the millions of Irish emigrants who have carried their vibrant culture around the globe. Later, visit the Old Midleton Distillery and discover the secrets of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey. Then, enjoy time in Kinsale to independently explore more of this lovely town.

Day 6: Kinsale - Limerick - Bunratty - Galway
Depart this morning for Limerick. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour showcasing King John's Castle and the Treaty Stone while learning about the fascinating history of the “City of the Violated Treaty.” Continue to Bunratty where you will visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. This intriguing site offers a window into the life of the Ireland of yesteryear. This afternoon, experience the customs and daily life of a traditional Irish family during a memorable visit to Rathbaun Farm. Enjoy a guided tour of the farm and join the farmers for tea and scones and stories of farm life. Then, travel to the great city of Galway on Ireland’s West Coast. Perhaps tonight you will take advantage of the chance to experience Galway’s night life.

Day 7: Galway - Connemara - Galway
Spend a day exploring Connemara, Ireland’s “wild west.” Begin with a visit to the last workshop still processing Connemara marble, Ireland’s only natural marble. Continue to Kylemore Abbey, home to the oldest order of Benedictine nuns in Ireland and site of beautiful gardens. This afternoon, cruise the unspoiled splendor of Killary Harbour, the only natural fjord in Ireland.

Day 8: Galway - Clonmacnoise - Athlone - Dublin
Depart Galway and pass the village of Athenry, inspiration for the famous song, “The Fields of Athenry.” Journey to the stirring ruins of Clonmacnoise, site of great monastic settlements. Tour the site and learn about the great Celtic Christian tradition of the Irish. Then, travel to the nearby town of Athlone. Since medieval times, this place has been an important crossing point of the River Shannon. Pay a visit to Sean’s Pub, recorded as the oldest pub in Europe. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for an exciting, fun-filled “Irish Night” complete with traditional entertainment. Toast the end of a fabulous trip during this memorable farewell dinner.
